Now you'll be able to see how the color really looks on the wall and in different lights. Don't forget that the color deepens when a second coat is applied.
Painting Techniques
There are so many effective techniques that you can use to add some texture, that you should experiment for yourself to see which ones you like the best. Ragging, rubbing, sponging, dragging, marbling, stencilling and gliding are all techniques that give a very appealing look.
Ceramic Tiles
The additional use of ceramic tiles will enhance your design and colors even more, but make sure that you don't overdo it! Often a border or feature tile can be used with great effect with the colors on the wall in the kitchen. There are some wonderful hand-decorated tiles that add a uniqueness to your kitchen.
Where this works really well is in a traditional, country or farm style kitchen with some gorgeous Tuscan or Spanish handmade tiles.
