The design for best kitchen countertops in this larger kitchen space focussed on the granite countertops and curved island shape.
It has been a successful way of combining different materials to contrast with one another in a visually pleasing manner.
The timber cabinetry contains lots of storage space and the upper wall units were created with glass fronts so as to 'lighten' the feeling of weight above.
Contemporary stainless steel appliances are evident and to maximize bench space, the microwave oven is placed on a high shelf above the retractable rangehood.
The expanse of speckled grey and sand colored granite in the benchtops is continued in the backsplash above the countertops.
This gives continuity - a further material may have been too many for this space.
The pale blue color of the island and the walls is continued through into the living areas making a seamless flow of space.
Note the abundance of power outlets in this highly efficient and functional kitchen space!
