About Us

Designing a kitchen is an expensive and time-consuming enterprise which, done well, will add plenty of value to your home. It is an investment that will pay rich dividends when you come to resell your property. The kitchen is the most utilised space in the home, and it makes sense to get the design 'right'.

When you buy a home that isn't new, you may consider doing a remodeling or renovation. Studies show that a renovated kitchen, closely followed by the bathroom, is the factor that contributes most to the successful resale of the home. This is because it is at the heart of the home, and acts as a focal point for the family, and an eye-catching centerpiece of the style and ambience you want to capture and exude.

When you are designing a totally new kitchen, you have great flexibility that is only limited by space and budget! A carefully designed space where functionality is combined with beauty is the result of lots of research and 'homework', ie: planning, co-ordinating and executing..

There are specific design rules for kitchens, and this website has been designed to help you learn more about these 'rules' and to remember to plan for some items you may not have previously thought about.

The website's other function is to alert you to many new lines, materials, textures, forms and color; the main elements of design. These elements work to achieve the principles of design; functionality, proportion, contrast, harmony, emphasis and attraction. Basically...to have a gorgeous kitchen that works well!

To this end, a group of experienced professionals have put their heads together to determine the essential information needed to succeed in choosing the designs that will suit your needs most closely. The goal is to help and advise you in every step of the way to designing the kitchen style and look that you want.
